Executive Council

The Executive Council is a group of elected members whose purpose is to work together to help ensure that the league runs smoothly.  These officers work on behalf of all league members.  If you ever need any assistance these are the people to see. They will work with you to answer any questions you may have or they will direct you to the proper person for help.




 Commissioner
Ron Frank
Ron joined the league in the Fall of 1996. He is a B Division player and been a part of the following teams; City Side, Krewe, Thunder and currently is the coach for Live Wire. He has played in ten Gay World Series Classics, as well as many tournaments across the country each year while in our league. Ron enjoys the sense of family that our league provides to its members, in addition to the great play on Sundays throughout the year. He served as our Commissioner three years ago and has been the Tournament Director for the Gasparilla Softball Classic these past two years.

Lee Holderbaum
Lee has been a member of the SSL for nearly a decade and has played as a founding member of Team Tampa Aces, Tampa Fusion, Nitro, and currently Manager for Team Venom. He has participated in 3 GSWS events including Seattle, Phoenix, and Columbus. Lee has served as the Ratings Committee Chair through the 2010-2011 Season. Playing baseball as a youth growing up in the Midwest, I am happy that the Florida weather allows me to play ALL YEAR!

Ass't D Commissioner
Mike Richardson
Mike Richardson joined our league in 2010 after some prodding from his friends, and fell in love with the sport and the league almost immediately. He currently plays catcher and outfield for the Tampa Panthers. Mike has played in numerous tournaments with his team throughout the country and has made friends along the way. He is honored to be part of the 2011 World Series in Chicago and proud to be a Panther.

Treasurer
Scott Lenker
Treasurer of the Suncoast Softball League since 2005, and SSL Hall of Fame Member. Full-time Broker Licensed Realtor in the Tampa area since 2002.

Secretary
Jason Bagwell
Originally from Arkansas,  Jason has been with the league since the fall of 2004.  He plays catcher on the Tampa Bay S.W.A.T.  Jason has played a huge role in the Ms. Suncoast Softball pageants over the last 6 years and has helped raise money to give to local and national charities through this event by forming the “Champagne Campaign”.  He is a fun guy that loves to laugh and is thankful to the SSL because of all the great friends he has made.  

Parliamentarian
Brenda Siebold
Brenda has been a part of the league from it's inception. She has participated in 5 World Series including placing 3rd in the first World Series the SSL ever participated in. Brenda has served the league on many committees, as a player and coach over the years.

NAGAAA Rep
Jim Michener
Jim has been in the league for 8 years.  During that time he has served 2 years as Commissioner, 1 year as Asst Commissioner B Division, 2 years as NAGAAA rep, 3 years a s Co-Director of the Gasparilla Softball Classic and 6 years on the Website Committee.  He has also been heavily involved in NAGAAA as the organization's Webmaster for the past 5 years.  As a player, Jim has played, managed and coached with The Krewe, Thunder and Live Wire and has attended 6 NAGAAA World Series.
