Michael Brennan
Tim Blunk
Tim was a founding league member, and an integral part of forming the Suncoast Softball League. Tim held the offices of Commissioner and Assistant Commissioner, and was the founding Tournament Director for the Gasparilla Classic. Tim's contributions also included performing on many occasions as Miss Suncoast Softball's Scagnolia Thunderpussy leading fundraisers, and other charity events for our league. In addition to all these activities, Tim also was a Manager/Coach/Player on the original Baxter's team in 1993, and performed the same duties for City Side in later years. Tim left behind many friends, and touched so many lives with his fun loving approach to life. Tim will forever be missed!



Steve Brooks
Scott Carpenter (Rough Riders)
43, of St. Petersburg, passed away April 25, 2006. He was born in Griffith, Ind., and moved to St. Petersburg in 1990 from Ogden Dunes, Ind. He was a financial mutual funds specialist at Raymond James Financial. He was a Navy veteran and member of the American Legion 305, St. Pete Beach. He managed and played for Georgie's Alibi Rough Rider's softball team in St. Petersburg and was a dedicated fan of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Chicago Bears. Survivors include his companion of 22 years, Don "Beave" Eggebrecht; two sons, Zach and Beau; his mother, Sharon Carpenter, Griffith; two sisters, Elizabeth Phillips, Michigan City, Ind., and Jennifer Phillips, Lowell, Ind.; his grandmother, Opal Leonard, Griffith; and two nieces, Cecelia Phillips, Lowell, and Alicia Phillips, Michigan City.
Stevie Coryea
Stevie passed away in July of 1998. During the years he played in the league
playing for the Tampa Solar, XTC, and Tampa Eagle teams
he was always the first one to support any team or league function. Everybody that knew him
knew of his quick wit, wicked sense of humor and ability to make a bad situation better.
Don Glunz

Don Glunz passed away on May 30th, 2005 (age 41). Don was a member of the Suncoast Softball League from 1997-2005, playing on a competitive team sponsored by City Side and Tampa Krewe. He participated in league games, tournaments throughout the United States, and six World Series during this time. Don was blessed with great athletic skills, but more importantly his wonderful, kind, personality touched everyone he met. We'll always miss you Donnie!
Bill Hatfield
Played on the old Paws/Rascals team.
Dennis Henry
Dennis played on the Reynolds Realty softball team in Tampa, then moved to Philly and played on the Westbury softball team. After several years he moved back to Tampa and played on Alibi Ice. Everyone remembers Dennis as a fun-loving guy and he will be missed by all.
Bobby Jewell
2/17/1967 - 3/2/2005
Bobby played for the Ho Ho Dragons starting Spring 2004 until his
passing in March of 2005. His passion for the good of the League and
life inspired many in a short period of time. He held the seat of
Parliamentarian on the Executive Council from 2003/2004 until his
illness took over. He was a great friend and teammate to many as well as
a terrific brother and son to his family. It is a comfort to know he

Denzel "Denny" Stutts
Denny passed away Monday May 12, 2010. He played with the Ho Ho Dragons for several years and was a big supporter of the Suncoast Softball League. He is survived by numerous family members including his Brother Chris Stutts and Chris's partner David Holland.
Tom Varrenti
Tom played with the City Side team that Devin coached.
He was funny and a great person to be around. His accident was a tragedy
and it robbed all of us of his good nature and friendship.
Lee (Larry) Tenney Jr.
Lee, 40, of Tampa, passed away February 22, 2009.
Lee was born September 8, 1968 in Randolph, Vermont.
Lee enjoyed sports, especially softball. His favorite team was the Boston Red Sox.
He had a great love for his family.
